 It is beyond comprehension why people sometimes treat fish as a recreational or hobbyist food, even though it is considered one of the world's most complete foods. I am surprised when people buy buffalo meat for 600 rupees per kg but do not pay attention to fish for 300 rupees per kg.


We Pakistanis are the nation that eats the least amount of fish in the world even though fish is cheaper here than almost all over the world. Perhaps the reason for this is the existence of many myths and misconceptions about it.


We generally have the idea that fish should be eaten only in winter. Wonder . Remember that fish is only a superior type of meat. It has the status of white meat and it has nothing to do with cold and heat. No doctor in the world can ever prevent a patient from eating fish because it is a treasure of easily digestible and fat-free protein.


There is also a misconception that fish has a warming effect and therefore should be eaten only in winters. The explanation behind this myth is that it is hot because one feels thirsty after eating. However, the fact is that its effect is more dry. This dryness is the reason for thirst after eating it.


Some people have restricted fish to eating only fried, which is nothing but a deprivation. Fish curry is very tasty and healthy food. Since we have been associated with fish for many decades, fried fish, curries, soups, kebabs and even fish pulao are made in our house.


The best way to make fish curry is to wash its flesh well with turmeric and flour. After that, make a paste of curd, salt and red pepper and dip the fish pieces in it well and keep it in the fridge to marinate. After four to six minutes, make the spices of tomatoes, ghee, red chillies, turmeric, celery, garlic and green chillies in a pot and fry the fish pieces well in it first and then boil it for ten minutes after adding water. Breathe. Never use fixed spices in fish. When the tail is done, add green coriander, chopped ginger and a pinch of hot spices to complete the process.


Fish broth curry with freshly grilled roti and curd chutney will introduce you to a new world of taste.
